In September I was asked to be a part of the State Affiliate Agreement Taskforce for the School Nutrition Association (SNA). Part of the discussion was about all the different logos State Associations were using. Some were totally different from the SNA logo (Oregon), some used parts of the SNA logo, and some used the logo designed by SNA. There was a lot happening in the world of logos.

When we had our Board meeting on October 21, 2016, I talked to the executive board about the discussions. We decided it was time to update our logo and go with the SNA state logo for Oregon. They (SNA) created the artwork and sent it to me on a thumbdrive and CD.

SNA owns the logo but is happy to share it with its affiliates.
Here are a few positive points in moving to the new logo:
  • We are changing leadership regularly. It will be nice to be able to access the logo for letterhead when we get a new secretary, treasurer or president. SNA will be able to get the logo to whomever needs it.
  • Any updates to the logo will be handled by SNA and pushed out to the states. We simplly need to receive the changes.
  • It helps to identify OSNA as an affiliate of SNA.
  • It looks sharp and professional.
I hope you like it as much as I do.
Cheri Meeker
OSNA President
