Working independently and collaboratively, the Nutrition Services Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and leading the district’s Nutrition Department in alignment with the district’s mission, vision, and values. The manager plans and manages a financially sound program that provides wholesome, attractive, nutritionally balanced meals, prepared in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and requirements. The manager effectively communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders including colleagues, administrators, parents, and students to provide information relating to program requirements and options available to students while utilizing feedback to direct development of menus that not only meet nutritional requirements and meet student tastes. This position mentors and supervises a supervisor(s), warehouse, and nutrition services staff and reports to the Director of Administrative Services.
