Centennial School District is seeking a Dining Services Director. The Dining Services Director is responsible for planning, implementing, overseeing, managing and reviewing all operational and administrative elements of the District’s school nutrition programs. The position is responsible for monitoring nutrition services staff and operations at school sites to ensure compliance with federal and state law in addition to district policy and procedures.
This position reports to the Director of Business and Operations and supervises the work of food service employees at various district work sites. Additionally, the position of Dining Services Director supports the total educational program and maintains good relationships with school personnel while ensuring the efficient operation of the district dining service programs as prescribed by district, state, and federal policies and standards.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell reportedly is holding up the extension of USDA school meal waivers adopted during the pandemic, which, if they expire, could lead to a 40% reduction in school meal reimbursements.
SNA is encouraging members to urge their legislators to grant USDA authority to extend critical school meal waivers. The deadline is Friday, March 11.

Centennial School District is looking to fill the position of Healthy Active Schools Program Coordinator.
The purpose of this position is to support the implementation of the Healthy Active Schools Program objectives that best meets the needs and goals of the Centennial School District. This includes coordination with all schools, internal partners such as SUN Community School Program, the school board, the PTA, and the school-based health center steering committee to develop, adopt, and/or implement school district policies and system/environmental changes that promote healthy eating and physical activity in school environments.
The HAS Program Coordinator is responsible to set project goals that align with the Healthy Active Schools Action Plan; to coordinate the development, adoption and implementation of the project objectives; and to help monitor progress and quality of outcomes. Functional tasks include: convening a district policy and systems/environmental change committee, attending various stakeholder meetings; participating in HAS Program Coordinator networking meetings; collecting and maintaining data, developing model policies, and assisting with program planning.
