The Bend-La Pine School District has two new job openings in the Nutrition Services Department. Interested parties should click the links below to get the details and to apply online.
1. Applications are being accepted through Tuesday, June 2 for a Nutrition Services Kitchen Manager I – Production Floor Manager. Under minimal supervision, the Nutrition Services Kitchen Manager I directs the operation of a self-contained school kitchen and/or assists the Executive Chef with a production kitchen. This is a full-time position at Bend Senior High School.
2. Applications are being accepted through Tuesday, June 2 for a full-time Kitchen Manager I at Pacific Crest Middle School. Under minimal supervision, the Nutrition Services Kitchen Manager I directs the operation of a self-contained school kitchen and/or assist the Executive Chef with a production kitchen.
The Bend-La Pine School District has a job opening for a Nutrition Services III Specialist. The specialist performs a variety of duties that may include preparing food items for the school foodservice program, serving, directing a kitchen site where no manager is assigned, and arranging or catering services. The position is part-time at Bend Senior High.

Fuel Up to Play 60 grant funding applications for up to $4,000 per school are open now through June 16, 2015. These grants support healthy eating and physical activity initiatives and are great ways bring school wellness policies to life for students, staff and school communities. Last year, 22 Oregon schools received Fuel Up to Play 60 grant funding. Two of these schools were also awarded the Oregon Department of Education School Wellness Award this spring.
