On behalf of OSNA, Executive Board members Cindi Hiatt-Henry and Lynne Shore delivered an array of stuffed animals to the Oregon State Police for use in their “Buddy Bear” program, which helps children deal with traumatic occurrences. When police officers, detectives, and records division personnel come in contact with children who have been involved in traumatic incidents, they are able to give the children something they can cuddle and hold to help promote dialogue and a feeling of safety. OSNA thanks all of its members who brought stuffed animals to our State Conference Friday Fun Night event for donation to this worthy cause!
