To provide healthy school meals one bite at a time!
The Oregon School Nutrition Association (OSNA) is a collaborative group of school nutrition and foodservice professionals and industry suppliers who work together to ensure that Oregon’s students receive wholesome, nutritious foods in breakfast and lunch programs all over the state.
The association, founded 70 years ago, has more than 500 school nutrition members, including public school district, private and residential child care institution directors, managers, coordinators, chefs and foodservice staff. OSNA works closely with the Oregon Department of Education’s Nutrition Services Team to ensure that Oregon’s nearly 600,000 K-12 students receive high quality, well-balanced meals through the National School Lunch Program, the National School Breakfast Program, and other dietary programs.
OSNA is administered by an elected Executive Board composed of Oregon school district nutrition and foodservice directors. The association’s Industry Committee, a group of volunteers from Oregon school foodservice and industry suppliers, produces the Annual Industry Seminar & Commodity Show each fall and produces the Oregon School Foodservice Directory.
